Installation

This page explains how to install DesignSPHysics in Microsoft Windows and GNU/Linux.

Requirements

For installing you will need:

Installing on Microsoft Windows

To install DesignSPHysics on Windows you need to unzip the installation files (download them here) in any folder.

You should see 2 items, an 'installer.exe' file and a 'resource' folder. Just execute 'installer.exe' and you should see something like this:

Just click the Install button and, if everything went fine, you should see a installation complete dialog.

That's it! DesignSPHysics is already installed. Just open FreeCAD and load the macro, and you're ready to go. Check the Feature Reference page to use the software.

Installing on GNU/Linux

To install DesignSPHysics on GNU/Linux you need to unzip the installation files (download them here) in any folder.

You should see 2 items, an 'installer' file and a 'resource' folder.

For security reasons is very probable that your GNU/Linux distribution does not give execution permission by default in executables, so open a terminal in the extracted folder and run: chmod +x installer

Now, just execute 'installer' and you should see something like this:

Just click the Install button and, if everything went fine, you should see a installation complete dialog.

That's it! DesignSPHysics is already installed. Just open FreeCAD and load the macro, and you're ready to go. Check the Feature Reference page to use the software.
